The Physics Division at Argonne National Laboratory is seeking candidates to fill a postdoctoral position in the Research with Ion Beams and Isotopes Group
We are seeking outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral position to perform laboratory research involving the production and purification of accelerator-produced radionuclides, as well as, research with ion beams related to cellular radiobiology. A significant aspect of this work includes simulation of nuclear reactions and shielding requirements. Experience with large-scale Monte Carlo simulations with codes such as MCNP, PHITS, GEANT4 is desired. Experience with CAD software and thermal finite element analysis is, also, a plus. The successful candidate will be joining a team of chemists, physicists, and engineers conducting research and development related to medical isotopes and ion beam therapy.
