The Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow (4 years, full-time) in theoretical nuclear physics. The successful candidate will conduct innovative research in description of exotic nuclear structure, dynamics and processes relevant for astrophysics in the framework of relativistic nuclear energy density functional.

Azrieli Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship for research at Israeli universities

This competitive fellowship is for two years, extendable to three years.

We are offering to apply to this fellowship for performing research at Tel Aviv University (TAU). The successful candidate's research program will include: • Advanced RF ion trapping studies at TAU, within a TAU and JLU Giessen joint project towards future measurements of neutron capture cross sections of short-lived fission products • Participation in exotic nuclei experiments in collaboration with the FRS Ion Catcher Group at GSI/JLU Giessen and at the University of Jyvaskyla.
