Job Description: A nuclear physicist and/or engineer to develop algorithms and software for automated analysis of advanced detector systems. The role will include work with radiation transport codes and C++/Python, specifically using GEANT4 and CERN's ROOT, to develop analysis tools for complex bulk fission product spectra acquired using continuous, prompt, and cyclic neutron activation techniques. Please find below a call for applications for a post-doctoral position at GANIL in the field of experimental nuclear physics starting from September 2023.
The successful candidate will be involved in research activities related to the structure and dynamics of nuclei probed using the VAMOS Spectrometer and the Particle Identification Silicon Telescope Array (PISTA).
