The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental low-energy nuclear physics beginning in August 2023. We seek a colleague who will initiate an independent research program that addresses forefront questions in nuclear astrophysics, nuclear structure & reactions, and/or applied nuclear physics. Strong preference will be given to candidates who plan to employ the on-campus 4.5-MV tandem accelerator (https://inpp.ohio.edu/~oual/) as part of their program.

Staff Scientist Position at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

The Nuclear Science Division (NSD) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is inviting applications for a Career Physicist Staff Scientist position from outstanding scientists to conduct original experimental physics research with an emphasis on the properties and reactions of exotic nuclei. For full consideration, applications should be submitted by March 1st, 2023.

The successful candidate will join the Nuclear Structure Group, and will be expected to lead the development of a research program in low-energy nuclear physics, leveraging recent advances in the field associated with the capabilities at facilities including FRIB.
