We invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in mass spectrometry with SHIPTRAP. The 2-year position will support our research program on nuclear physics of heavy and superheavy element with Penning-trap mass spectrometry at the GSI in Darmstadt. The project will also comprise methodological developments and the construction of experimental equipment.

The Theoretical Nuclear Physics Group of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia, seeks outstanding candidate for up to 6-year PhD assistant position. The successful candidate will be engaged in the frontier research of nuclear structure and dynamics, and neutrino-nucleus reactions in the relativistic nuclear energy density functional theory and applications in nuclear astrophysics. Full employment will be offered, including social and health insurance with additional benefits.The candidate will enrol doctoral study programme of nuclear physics at the University of Zagreb. Job description:
Seeking a post-doctoral researcher in experimental nuclear and particle astrophysics. The group's primary research activities are searching for neutrinoless double-beta decay in 76Ge as part of the LEGEND Collaboration, a direct search for neutrino mass in the KATRIN tritium beta-decay neutrino mass experiment, and involvement in the liquid scintillator R&D experiment NuDot.

This exciting role involves conducting experimental research on the chemical properties of the heaviest elements, utilizing nuclear physics techniques. The successful candidate should have a strong foundation in chemistry and a deep interest in conducting innovative chemistry experiments. As part of the team, you will work at the 88-Inch Cyclotron, employing devices like the Berkeley Gas-filled Separator (BGS) and FIONA, and leading critical experiments to determine the periodic table placement of these elements.
