Two early researcher positions are open at the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) for low-energy nuclear physics. The call is opened from Dec. 11th, 2024 up to January, 10, 2025.

Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) program – call for interest for 2026

The Department of Nuclear Physics and Accelerator Applications https://physics.anu.edu.au/research/npaa/ at the Australian National University is seeking expressions of interest for the 2026 round of the Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) program. https://www.arc.gov.au/funding-research/funding-schemes/discovery-program/discovery-early-career-researcher-award-decra

Each year, DECRA provides focused research support for early career researchers (up to five years post-PhD with allowances for career interruptions) in both teaching and research, and research-only positions. DECRA provides a salary and additional project funding up to AU$50,000 per year for three years to support outstanding early-career researchers with demonstrated capacity for high-quality research and emerging capability for leadership and supervision.

We welcome expressions of interest from researchers working in the following areas from both experiment and theory: • Accelerator Mass Spectrometry • Dark Matter Particle Physics • Nuclear Reaction Dynamics • Nuclear Structure

Two Post-doctoral positions in experimental nuclear physics -- University of York

We are seeking to appoint two Post Doctoral Research Associates in Experimental Nuclear Physics to work in the groups of Prof Marina Petri and Dr Stefanos Paschalis. The PDRAs will work primarily on instrumentation developments of two state-of-the-art devices that will be deployed in studies of exotic nuclei at the frontier of nuclear structure research. The PDRAs will also support the experimental research programme within the group of exotic nuclei, addressing key questions on nucleon-nucleon correlations. The PDRAs are expected to undertake long-term visits at national labs and international facilities in the UK and abroad while being based at the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology at the University of York.

Both PDRA posts are initially for a period of 18 months with the possibility of extension and are at Grade 6: £36,924 - £45,163 per year.

Postdoctoral Fellow Position at TRIUMF - TITAN group

2-3 Postdoc positions are available

We are looking to hire a postdoc who will be involved with the TITAN system operation, primarily the operation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of one subsystem (the MR-TOF mass separator, the Measurement Penning Trap, the EUV spectrometer and EBIT, or the gamma-ray detector suite and EBIT). The successful candidate will be involved in all on-line aspects of TITAN and be actively engaged in precision measurements, analysis, and data dissemination.
