Chateaubriand Scholarship Program

The French Embassy in the United States launched the 2025-2026 call for applications for the Chateaubriand scholarship program. The Chateaubriand Fellowship is a grant offered by the French Embassy in the United States to supports outstanding PhD students registered in a U.S. institution who wish to conduct part of their doctoral research in France for a period ranging from 4 to 9 months. 2-year Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Nuclear Physics - University of Edinburgh

The appointed PDRA will develop and apply ab initio reaction modelling methods to support experimental research within the group, addressing key questions in nuclear astrophysics. The PDRA is expected to undertake long-term visits (up to two months/year) to closely collaborate with Dr Guillaume Hupin (IJCLab, France) while being based at the School of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Edinburgh.

The post is for a 2-year full-time position at grade UE07: £40,247 to £47,874 per annum.

Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Nuclear Science at the Air Force Institute of Technology

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), located on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio, is hiring a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Engineering Physics. As an ORISE participant, you will join a community of scientists and researchers in an effort to research nuclear science, which has a variety of important applications to national security and the Air Force mission. Specific topics of interest include neutron inelastic scattering, neutron capture, neutron production, and experimental technique development related to detectors, targetry, and particle accelerators. AFIT is pursuing cutting edge research in these areas with a variety of academic, government, and national lab partners.

AFIT reviews and selects applicants on a rolling basis. Exact start dates will be determined at the time of selection and in coordination with the selected candidate. This appointment is a twelve-month research appointment, with the possibility to be renewed for additional research periods. Appointments may be extended depending on funding availability, project assignment, program rules, and availability of the participant.
