Postdoctoral position at Colorado School of Mines and FRIB
11 November 2022
We are currently advertising an open postdoc position to take a leading role in both the SALER and BeEST experiments, at the Colorado School of Mines and FRIB at Michigan State University. These experiments use rare-isotope doped superconducting tunnel junctions to search for a wide range of beyond standard model physics scenarios.
Primarily, we are looking for someone with experience in low-temperature physics and subatomic physics to lead the set up of our new SALER experiment at FRIB. The summary job ad is attached and the full ad and application information can be found here: https://jobs.mines.edu/en-us/job/495979/postdoctoral-fellow-physics
Inquiries related to the position can be directed to Prof. Kyle Leach (kleach@mines.edu) .

Postdoc position at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
27 October 2022
Lawrence Berkeley National Lab's (LBNL) Nuclear Science Division has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team.
The successful candidate will work in the Nuclear Structure Group in the Nuclear Science Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The Group's experimental activities use state-of-the-art detector systems for gamma-ray and particle spectroscopy at stable and radioactive beam facilities in the United States and worldwide. Current areas of focus are the structure of the heaviest elements and the structure of neutron-rich nuclei. The successful candidate will be expected to initiate research and contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Group.

Postdoctoral position in experimental nuclear physics at GSI
21 October 2022
We invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in experimental nuclear physics within the nuclear spectroscopy department at GSI.
The successful candidate will join the ERC funded LISA project.
"Lifetime measurements with Solid Active targets" is a novel approach to study collective excitations in atomic nuclei. Active targets enhance the sensitivity and resolution for in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy experiments enabling lifetime measurements of exotic rare isotopes.
