FRIB First Experiments: Proposal Preparation Workshop

Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, May 4-8, 2020

A Proposal Preparation Workshop for the first FRIB PAC is planned for May 4-8, 2020 at FRIB -- registration is available online now.

The goal of the workshop is to help users prepare well-motivated and feasible proposals for the first FRIB Program Advisory Committee Meeting (FRIB PAC1). Users should feel free to join one or more groups based on their scientific interests.

This is a working meeting with few talks. The FRIB Theory Alliance will participate and help organize theory participation. JINA will participate and run mini-workshops on specific topics, and help organize astrophysics participation. Beam Physicists will be available to answer questions regarding beam rates.

UPDATE: The in-person portion of the workshop has been postponed, and will be rescheduled for sometime this Fall, due to travel restrictions and concerns surrounding the coronavirus COVID-19. However, to help prepare for the first FRIB Call for proposals, there will still be on-line presentations at times throughout the week of May 4-8, 2020.
