High Efficiency Spectrometer
This Working Group will be merged with the Gas filled separator and Recoil Separator 1 - 3 MeV/u Working Groups into a new ReA12 Recoil Separator Working Group. Please see the details on this new ReA12 Recoil Separator web page or contact the Point of Contact Daniel Bazin with questions.
This working group will be focused on designing, constructing, and utilizing a High Efficiency (large acceptance) Spectrometer of the TOFI or Vamos type. The current design is the Isochronous Spectrometer with Large Acceptance (ISLA), which combines large momentum and angular acceptances for high efficiency in reaction product detection, as well as time of flight for particle identification and tagging.
The Conveners of this Working Group are:
Daniel Bazin, NSCL, bazin at nscl.msu.edu [Point of Contact]
Paul Fallon, LBNL
Wolfgang Mittig, NSCL/MSU
Robert Grzywacz, Univ. Tennessee
