FRIB Theory Group

Welcome to the FRIB Theory Group.
This group is the successor to the RIA Theory Group, formed in Fall 2002 with a membership
of over 140 scientists. The primary purpose of this Group is to organize the
nuclear theory community interested in FRIB physics to:
* Identify and prioritize the most important physics questions to be addressed at FRIB
* Act as a forum and a voice for the nuclear structure and astrophysics theory community to most
effectively enhance the nuclear theory effort in the US. This follows from the charge in the long-range
plan to "Significantly increase funding for nuclear theory, which is essential for the
developing potential of the scientific program."
* Partner with the FRIB Users Organization and the FRIB Users Executive Committee
to promote FRIB.
